Texturing Bundle showcase

Overview

Texturing Bundle is a collection of workspaces designed for game developers.

What’s inside?

This bundle contains 3 texturing extensions, that is 6 workspaces:

  1. Skybox Equirectangular - Design full 360° panoramic skybox textures in a single equirectangular canvas with a live preview
  2. Skybox Cubemap - Just like Equirectangular workspace, but works with cubemaps.
  3. Equirectangular to Skybox - Already have an equirectangular texture? Use this convienient converter workspace.
  4. Normal Map Generator - Generate normal maps from source texture. Real time shaded preview included.
  5. 3D Cube - Perfect for creating texture packs for voxel games, with an animated 360° preview so you can inspect every face in real time.
  6. Tiled Texturing - Create seamless textures and preview how they tile across an infinite canvas.

Why is it worth it?

All workspaces are designed for fast iteration.

If this workflow sounds familiar:

  1. Change
  2. Export
  3. Import to game engine
  4. Preview
  5. Repeat until it’s done

Then this extension is for you.

We’ve carefully designed multi-viewport workspaces with live previews and various environment testing views. Doesn’t matter if you’re building a texture pack for a voxel game, or working with classic tiling textures.

These workspaces let you create assets in 3 simple steps:

  1. Change
  2. Preview
  3. Repeat until it’s done

Without annoying export/import bottleneck.

How it works?

  1. In your library, install the extension and restart PixiEditor
  2. From the top menu choose View > Browse Workspaces
  3. Click on one of the workspaces - new file will open
  4. Edit the texture layer
  5. Export to any format you need

*To change the preview, click on the wrench icon in top right corner of the viewport and change “Render preview”
*To start the 3D cube animation click on the play button in the middle of the top bar
*To adjust normal map parameters open the node graph (there is an icon in the middle of the top bar)
